North West Telecoms User Group

Chaired by Jim Laird of Merseyside HIS, and attended by a variety of Trusts from across the NorthWest the day proved to be a great success.  Following on from the event Healthcare have now been engaged on a one to one basis with a number of Trusts with whom our presentations had struck a chord.  The common theme being; the pain of duplicating work - creating system entries for staff in multiple platforms that contained similar, if not the same, data.

 In addition, our Patientxt products were introduced directly to a Telecoms audience and provoked some interesting discussion, with one Trust now exploring the possibility of replacing their expensive pager system with a web based text system as all pager holders also carry mobile phones.  The big advantages highlighted were that we could offer delivery reports and instantaneous responses from the recipients via SMS.

The Trusts wrapped up the day in deep discussion around pressing issues that affect all Telecoms departments today and the sharing of ideas of best practice.
