NHS Mail

All Patientxt systems can send text messages via the NHSmail system, providing you with free messaging. You will need a valid NHSmail account to synchronise with the system with various options available. We recommended you contact NHSmail or your local LOA for NHSmail to discuss the following options:

• Create a stand alone account e.g thesurgery@nhs.net seperate from your personal account
• Nominate an individual in your organisation to set up a NHSmail account specifically for text
• NHSmail only currently support one way text messaging, with limited delivery report information available - sent or failed.
• Two way texting is still available via our O2 gateway, with greater delivery information provided.    

Please be reminded you will need to update your Patientxt system with any new passwords on the NHSmail account.
